Topic: "Cash for Clunkers" and Automobile Recycling in Illinois
The speaker will be Mr. Joe Watson, President of Auto & Truck Recyclers of Illinois. Mr. Watson will give a presentation on the auto recycling industry in general in Illinois and specifically the management of the waste stream created by the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS, more commonly referred to as “Cash for Clunkers”) program of 2009.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Chicago Indoor Racing, 2381 West Army Trail Road in Addison, Illinois. CIR provides kart racing on 2 indoor tracks, with karts achieving speeds of 30-35 mph. The facility provides all racing gear (including race suits, helmets and neck braces) and conducts pre-race driver briefings for all racers.
